EA Sports confirmed that they have “made a mutual decision” to end their relationship, while also revealing their next generation golfing ambitions.

Moving forward, they said that they’re working on a new approach that will allow them to deliver the best golf experience, making the best technologies across EA.

Successful partnership

Golf video games are going to look different now, but EA Sports stated it would continue to work with the PGA Tour and develop golf titles.

“We had an incredible run,” Wood’s representative said in a statement. “But times are changing and EA had to re-evaluate the partnership and frankly so did we.”

This concludes a successful partnership that helped boost both brands and enhance the cool factor of the sport.
