Cryptic Messages On Shotgun Left By Navy Gunman

The former Navy reservist who randomly shot down 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday left a cryptic message on the shotgun that he had used to perpetrate the crime. The statement comes from a law enforcement document.

The shotgun had been used by Aaron Alexis, a former navy reservist to go a shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday. The attack killed 12 people and the gunman, who was gunned down by the authorities trying to rescue the scene.

Investigating officers say that Alexis’ mental state was questionable since he had visited two hospitals just weeks before the attack and was being treated for insomnia. The accused had a used a legally-bought weapon.
